Abby Knight started painting when she was 9 years old.

A folk artist, "The Dot Man", came to her school and 

worked with each child in the 4th grade

to create his or her own folk art painting. That

sparked her desire to paint. She was written up in the

June, 2005 issue of "Southern Distinction" showing

several pictures of her paintings. She was asked to be in

a show, "Paws for the Moment" at Clayton Street

Gallery in downtown Athens where several of her

"folk art" pups were displayed. She has been painting
